17th-22nd Adalaide to Melbourne. the Great Ocean rd.

Three happy chappies on Smilie street at Robe Australia, could it be they are on there way to a watering hole?
 We all stayed at the oldest house in Robe which served as the first parliament building, much debating was to be heard as the chappies oiled their debating voices.

Beach after deserted beach was the opportunity for Colin and Mary to pose before their romantic stroll chased by the local sand flies.




Walking toward the Lighthouse the trees were laden with Koalas which enabled Carol to get up close for this koala also named Carol?


As the Berries and the Phillips went off to collect their Motorhome in NZ we went to the Yarra valley wineries staying at Yerring Gorge below amongst the wild kangaroos , anteaters and bottles of wine.


Meanwhile Kim was still sitting on the deserted beaches?

10th-16th January part 2

First mate takes the helm

10th-16th January 14 The Whitsunday Islands part one

After a 900km drive where all we saw was trees, hill billies and frogs ( the sound of squashed frog as the car hit another one trying to hitch hike to the Whitsunday's was most satisfying?) we were greeted by the welcome faces of Kim ,  Carol, Mary and Colin and our home for the next 6 days the good ship Roger Roger. She had plenty of room for all 8 of us.




Oh maybe that's the tender of the good ship. Roger Roger. Yes see below Captain Phillips command.




She sailed the rough seas and brought us safely back to the sheltered bays each evening where the rum rations for the crew where consumed at rapid order.

Amongst the rain forests of this all sand made island can be seen the rare sight of a female Palmer without a cup of tea.

The last ferry that went to the island was found beached, was there anyway off?
