17th-22nd Adalaide to Melbourne. the Great Ocean rd.

Three happy chappies on Smilie street at Robe Australia, could it be they are on there way to a watering hole?
We all stayed at the oldest house in Robe which served as the first parliament building, much debating was to be heard as the chappies oiled their debating voices.

Beach after deserted beach was the opportunity for Colin and Mary to pose before their romantic stroll chased by the local sand flies.

Walking toward the Lighthouse the trees were laden with Koalas which enabled Carol to get up close for this koala also named Carol?

As the Berries and the Phillips went off to collect their Motorhome in NZ we went to the Yarra valley wineries staying at Yerring Gorge below amongst the wild kangaroos , anteaters and bottles of wine.

Meanwhile Kim was still sitting on the deserted beaches?

10th-16th January part 2

First mate takes the helm

Captain Phillips tells of his adventures as the crew mates listen and drink.

Steer a steady course and look out for sharks! Our guide bush man Kim.

And the girls took shade, ready for the next part of our adventure

10th-16th January 14 The Whitsunday Islands part one

After a 900km drive where all we saw was trees, hill billies and frogs ( the sound of squashed frog as the car hit another one trying to hitch hike to the Whitsunday's was most satisfying?) we were greeted by the welcome faces of Kim ,  Carol, Mary and Colin and our home for the next 6 days the good ship Roger Roger. She had plenty of room for all 8 of us.

Oh maybe that's the tender of the good ship. Roger Roger. Yes see below Captain Phillips command.

She sailed the rough seas and brought us safely back to the sheltered bays each evening where the rum rations for the crew where consumed at rapid order.

7th, 8th 9th January the Eco trip to Fraser Island

Amongst the rain forests of this all sand made island can be seen the rare sight of a female Palmer without a cup of tea.

The last ferry that went to the island was found beached, was there anyway off?

What a view from the bar below, if you look carefully you can see the intrepid tour photographer

6th Koala day

In the hunt for the little known Koala a river trip is taken into the deep dark suburbs of Brisbane

Hugh extends the hand of friendship to the Australian nation, or maybe he is feeding a kangaroo?

Bev extends the hand of friendship to the Australian nation, or maybe she is holding a Koala?

4th/5th jan14

Last day in Sydney the off to a very hot Brisbane where it was 41degrees yesterday!
Nigel prepares to board the ship to check sufficient provisions. (Too early that's next week)

Kim reflects after another exciting day at the cricket, one for the album this one.

Brisbane at a very cool 33 degrees and off to see the Koala

3rd Jan 13

The three wise men attend the first day of the last test to watch England get destroyed. The apprehension can be seen on the studious gaze of the cricket critics.

Three Bruce's now on the England Selection committee, rumours of Berry coming out of retirement, quoted as saying " I could do better with  a wooden spoon"

Sydney sky line above the members pavillion

2nd Jan 13, the blue Mountain Berrys and the Manley Bradley's

The 2nd January was spent with the Berry and Phillips party searching for the source of the amber nectar or that's what Kim told me

Whilst the Bradley and Palmers took a ferry to Manley and had there first splash of the tour
Couldn't resist

Hugh leaves  his surf board for a well earned rest.

1st January 2014

 Happy New a Year!
Oh what a great start to the new year. A lie in and chilled out day.

Kim orders the food whilst Colin takes the drink order, an established routine only varied by Colin ordering the food whilst Kim drinks and takes a drink order
Mary and Carol are deeply engaged in the menu, whilst Kim has another drink!
